Akana Named a Leader in API Management Solutions Report by Independent Research Firm

Akana Platform Rated Second Highest in Current Offering

LOS ANGELES, November 13, 2016 – Akana, a leading provider of API management, API security, and microservices solutions for Digital Businesses, announced today that it has been named a Leader by Forrester Research, Inc. in its new report, "The Forrester Wave: API Management Solutions, Q4 2016." The report by Randy Heffner takes the perspective that API Management is critical because APIs drive digital business. The Forrester report stated that Akana's API Management Platform fit very well with enterprise strategies for broad-based, mature and well-governed API strategies.

In preparing the report, Forrester evaluated 14 API Management vendors across 27 criteria. The report explores how the various vendor solutions allow API product managers to optimize value to API providers. Other features subject to research include how the API Management Solution manages the relationship between API users and API providers as well as how it enforces agreement.

According to the The Forrester Wave: API Management Solutions, Q4 2016 report, "Akana's solution fits very well with enterprise strategies for broad-based, mature, well-governed API strategies.
