Two Market Leaders Join Forces in Growing SOA Market
Los Angeles, Calif.—August 22, 2006—SOA Software, the leading provider of comprehensive SOA and Web services management, security, mediation and run-time governance solutions, announced that it has entered into a partnership with ITOCHU Technology, a division of ITOCHU Corporation, one of the world’s largest trading companies, to market SOA Software’s suite of software products in Japan and throughout Asia.
The agreement with ITOCHU Technology underscores SOA Software’s growth into a global provider of software products that manage the complexity of deploying enterprise Web services.
“Asia is a very promising market for service-oriented architecture,” said Roberto Medrano, EVP of marketing for SOA Software. “The globalization of the economy, specifically the supply chain, leads to the use of Web services to connect market partners across multiple continents. Our plan is to help ITI make secure, manageable, cost effective SOA a reality in Asia.”
ITOCHU, which has forged successful business relationships with US-based technology companies, including Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Oracle and Siebel Systems since 1984, sought to find the SOA management market leader in order to introduce the technology to its clients in Asia.
“Our customers are demanding SOA,” said John Takita, director of ITOCHU Technology. “To assure manageability of large number of Web services in the kind of complex environments we typically work in, we sought the partnership of the industry leader in the category: SOA Software. We have high hopes for a mutually prosperous alliance in this emerging field.”
